We've been waiting for a major update to how things were going with the lovely Robin Roberts while she underwent a scary bone marrow procedure… and now we have one!
Robin is home!
Just 21 days after getting her new bone marrow from her sister to treat the rare blood disorder, Robin has taken to the internet to update us all.
Here's what she says:
"Home Sweet Home. That has never had quite so much meaning before. My doctors tell me her cells are making themselves right at home and with the grace of God, I pray that they will continue to do so.
This doesn’t mean that my journey is over. Far from it until I'm given the all clear, but sleeping in my own bed feels like a big victory. My doctors will be monitoring me closely and I will still be at the hospital regularly to make sure we’re on the right track.
"I know it is your prayers and warm thoughts that have gotten me this far. I truly feel them each and every day. I humbly ask that you please continue to send them until you see me back at the GMA anchor desk and I promise to send them right back at ya.
"Each day I get stronger and stronger . . . This too really shall pass."
We can't tell you how happy we are to hear from you Robin. We were ALL worried, and we're glad to see that you're strong enough to update us, and that your will and positivity are even stronger!
Feel better soon!
In the mean time, catch up on Homeland — that shizz is NUTS!
