Jerry Sandusky just became a state prison inmate today!
He was transferred out of the Centre County Jail, where he's been staying since June.
He arrived at the State Correctional Institute at Camp Hill outside Harrisburg early this morning.
While there, he will go through a week or more of evaluations and testing to determine his security risk level before being sent to one of the state's facilities that will eventually become his "home prison."
The whole point of testing is to determine his mental and physical health, level of education and then to determine what kind of treatment he needs.
Pennsylvania, where his prison will be, does not have special units for sex offenders, so he might end up in the general population.
Which could be real bad for him, because some prisoners like to give sex offenders a taste of their own medicine.
Do the crime, serve the time.
