Oh shizz! Everybody better stay safe over there on the East Coast!!

Check it out: Hurricane Sandy is fast approaching, just laying waste in the Bahamas right now, and when she hits our coast we could be looking at $1 billion in damage!

The 100 mph winds look especially fond of the Carolina coast and Cape Cod, so if you have vacation plans, it's time to cancel! Still, Sandy is only category 2 and could be MUCH worse… but, Cat 2 isn't anything to mess with — two people have been killed in the Caribbean so far.

Jeff Masters, a meteorologist for Weather Underground, was the one who called the hurricane a "perfect storm," and predicted that it could cause $1 billion or more in damage.

Residents in the storm’s expected path should have a three days’ supply of water on hand, or one gallon per person per day, enough for drinking, cooking and some bathing. If they're making sure you know that, you bet your beautiful asses this is gonna be one hell of a storm!

Wait, there's more:

“They should have at least a 3-day supply and food that doesn’t need electricity to prepare it."

Also, get batteries and battery powered radios to:

“Pay attention. Expect that there’s going to be some effect and go ahead and make some preparations. It looks like things are coming togethe. And it never, ever hurts to be prepared.”

Just stay safe, everyone. Don't make unnecessary trips anywhere, and don't take risks you don't have to. We don't want you hurt or dead, and mother nature is a VERY powerful thing!
