A new study found that women who drank sugary soft drinks almost daily are 83% more likely to have a stroke!
The most increased risk was for an ischemic stroke, the kind caused by plaque build up in the arteries.
This new research just adds to the pile of information showing that an increased sugar intake leads to obesity, diabetes, heart attack risk, strokes, etc.
The list goes on for days.
That's why things like New York's soda ban could actually turn out to save thousands of lives.
What's crazy is the researchers couldn't find a link between mens' soda consumption and their stroke risk.
That's not an open call to go drown in a bucket of soda, it just shows how differently our bodies can work.
So how do you protect yourself from the awfulness of soda?
Umm… stop drinking it maybe?
