Carly Patterson is no longer just a gold-medal winning Olympic gymnast!
She's now a wife!
The athlete, who participated in the 2004 games, married Mark Caldwell at the Main Street Garden Park in Dallas last night during what sounds to be a STUNNING ceremony!
The bride is said to have walked down the aisle in a Vera Wang gown, while the reception featured typical Southern fare like panko crusted fried macaroni and cheese balls with white truffle sauce, chicken and waffles with a bourbon maple sauce, crab meat and cream cheese wantons, a taco station, a prime rib-carving station, and a pasta station…as well as a live 10-piece band to serenade the 250 guests!
"My dress was the very first one I tried on. I knew it was the one immediately. This might sound cliché, but after two weeks of dating Mark I knew he was a completely different from any other guy I've ever met. Mark is handsome, loving and he makes me laugh. He is a great support system and motivator in my life. I feel so lucky and fortunate that I get to spend forever with my best friend and the love of my life. Mark and I had the most incredible night of our lives celebrating with all of our close friends and family. We are so excited to start this journey together and so blessed to have found each other."
Aww! It certainly sounds like an absolutely MAGICAL evening!
And we couldn't be more thrilled to hear that it's everything you could have wanted to go along with the man you knew you were destined to marry!
Congratulations, you two!
All the best as you start this exciting new adventure together!
