Are you a fan of the NY Knicks?
No? Well then you probably won't be happy about this… The Lakers have hired former NY Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni instead of Phil Jackson to take over the Lakers. He'll be starting in a week or two, because he's recovering from knee-replacement surgery in his Westchester home.
What's weird is that Mike was supposed to be plan b. Phil, though, wanted a state in team ownership so they signed a three-year, $12 million deal with Mike.
D’Antoni quit under pressure last season after an 18-24 start with the Knicks. Doesn't seem much better than Mike Brown, who was fired last Friday after going 1-4.
We'll just have to see how he does!
