We all know caffeine is an amazing thing that takes away tiredness and makes a boring, mundane day bearable.
But why exactly is that??
The researchers had people either take a caffeine pill or a placebo and then look at a string of letters flashing across a computer screen. They then had to determine if they spelled words or just nonsense.
The caffeinated subjects were able to spot positive words (like "happy") more easily than they could negative or neutral words.
It's already been found that caffeine can stimulate the central nervous system by increasing brain activity and releasing dopamine, all of this leading to increased creativity and impulsiveness.
Sounds like a wonder drug to us!
Just remember… all things in moderation.
