Director David O. Russell said that he told Jennifer Lawrence to "relax" and eat regular meals while working on the new film Silver Linings Playbook.
He apparently didn't want her to look super skinny.
She's been in pretty great shape because of her roles in X-Men: First Class and The Hunger Games, but the director wanted her to look just like an average person for the new movie where she stars alongside Bradley Cooper.
"I like her as a real person. She looked like she'd been working [out] hard. I just encouraged her to relax and eat a good meal. She immediately got herself a cheese steak."
Ha! She sure knows how to take direction!
That must be music to an actress' ears! "Eat all you want!" LOLz!
We previously mentioned that she already refuses to starve herself for roles, saying:
"I’m never going to starve myself for a part. I keep waiting for that one role to come along that scares me enough into dieting, and it just can’t happen. I’m invincible."
Way to stick to your guns!
Also, way to luck out on getting a role where you can eat like a regular person!
