Omega-3 and omega-6 fats are important for health, but so is the ratio. An imbalance of too much omega-6 compared to omega-3 is common in the American diet and can increase your risk of diabetes and heart disease. Try to get more omega-3s through flax seeds, hemp seeds and fish oil.
