A new study just confirmed for us what we all most likely could've guessed anyway…
Diabetes is on the rise in the U.S.!
The study found a drastic increase in the number of people diagnosed with diabetes between 1995 and 2010.
We're not exaggerating, the number of diagnosed cases grew by 50% or more in 42 states and went up literally 100% in 18 states!!
States with the most ridiculous increases were Oklahoma, who went up 226%; Kentucky, up 158%; Georgia, up 145%; Alabama, up 140%, Washington, up 135%, and West Virginia, up 131%.
Lead author of the report said:
"These rates will continue to increase until effective interventions and policies are implemented to prevent both diabetes and obesity."
Numbers aren't looking great for humans as a species either.
At this rate, they're predicting that by 2030, as many as 552 MILLION globally will have diabetes!
That's scary! Start eating healthy right now!
