Sexism in a nutshell.
You certainly don't see that kind of dominance from the country's Men's Soccer team...
So why is it they're getting paid so much less than the male World Cup winners??
And we're not talking about 70 cents on the dollar here!
If you're worried that David Beckham's announcement to leave the LA Galaxy in December means that he'll be gone from the West Coast for good, you need to sit down and breathe into a bag or something. Just relax.
"L.A. will always be regarded as our home. We're not guaranteeing we're moving back to England, not guaranteeing we'll stay here. We'll decide that. Here it's been very special. Our daughter was born here so it's a very special place for us."
We'll be sad to see him go if he decides to, but he's such a great dad that we expect a lot of the decision will come from where his kids will be comfortable.
It's just so nice to hear that his passion for soccer here in the States hasn't wavered:
"My Galaxy contract will be coming to an end, but my commitment to the MLS will not. I want to continue to see this league grow. I have a few opportunities on the table. But my focus is on the finals right now. After that, I'll sit down with my family and decide."
Good luck, David!
It won't be an easy choice, we're sure!
