A new study is out to ruin one of our favorite childhood activities… bouncing around in an inflatable moonbounce!!
The study found that on average, 31 kids are taking to the emergency room EVERY DAY because of moonbounce injuries.
The most common injuries are either fractured bones or muscle damage:
"If this was an infectious disease, we'd call it an epidemic and it would be on the front pages all over the country. Our message is that we want children to get up off the couch and be active, but we also like to inform parents of the risks of those activities."
Between 1995 and 2010, the rate of moonbounce related injuries has gone up 15-fold!
The average patient was 7-and-a-half years old and was suffering from a fracture, strain or sprain.
Many of the injuries were from falling, but a lot also came from two children smashing into each other!
Basically, the study's authors say that parents just need to more closely supervise their kids so they don't try awesome stunts or anything cool like that.
