J.K. Rowling's Potter Companion Book Goes E-Charitable!

If it just us, or is J.K. Rowling becoming even more inspirational??

Her story in becoming the writer she is today is astounding, and now that she's at an amazing level, she loves doing her part in giving back — she just announced a $16M donation to Edinburgh University to fund a clinic for multiple sclerosis and neurodegenerative disease.

That's not it, though. A new eBook version of her massively successful Tales of Beedle the Bardcompanion book is set to launch!

Since it was released in 2008, the off-shoot book to Harry Potter has raised more than $28M for her children’s charity Lumos. There was even a hand-written and illustrated original of the book, and it sold for $3.9 million at auction; the highest ever paid for a modern literary manuscript!

Here's what Rowling had to say:

“All proceeds from the sale of the book go to Lumos, the charity I founded to help the 8 million children trapped in institutions around the world. These institutions are incapable of adequately caring for children, robbing them of their childhoods and of their futures. Lumos works to transform systems of caring for children, closing institutions, reuniting families, and preventing other children from being institutionalized. Your donation not only helps individual children now, but also ensures the future for generations to come.”

Now that it's moving to digital format, you can bet your beautiful asses that even more money will be raised for those in need!

So freakin' fab!

Keep it up, J.K.! We love it!
