Catherine Zeta-Jones went public with her bipolar disorder to try and break the stigma of the illness.
It seems like that plan may have backfired and now she's "sick of talking about it."
During an interview with Good Morning America she said:
"You know what? I’m sick of talking about it because I never wanted to be the poster child for this. I never wanted this to come out publicly. It came out."
Okay, we guess she didn't exactly plan to go public with it. Now we feel bad that her privacy was kinda violated when it came out, but at least now she's in a unique position to raise awareness!
She did continue to talk about it, saying:
"I dealt with it in the best way I could and that was just saying: 'Hey, I’m bipolar.' Everyone has things going on and we deal with them as best we can. We can’t go jump from the rooftops shouting about I have this, look at me, victim. No, we all have issues in our life and I’m really lucky that I have great friends, great support and that’s all I can do."
That sounds like such a good outlook!
Yeah, she's bipolar, but she's still Catherine Zeta-Jones!
