If you can't press charges, you might as well sue.
She filed the lawsuit anonymously in L.A. County Superior Court and claims Ebanks forcibly penetrated her after taking her home from a nightclub in September 2011. There was a massive lack of evidence, so the L.A. County D.A. refused to file charges against him. Now she's seeking damages.
Specifically, she's suing Ebanks for sexual assault and battery, defamation, and intentional infliction of emotional distress — we just don't know how much she's suing for.
If he did this, it's awful that no charges were brought. If he didn't, which would be indicated in the lack of evidence, this woman is really pushing her luck on getting something out of her lie.
We'd love to know the facts before we choose sides, though!
