Kansas City Chiefs Paying For Jovan Belcher's Funeral
The Kansas City Chiefs are paying for the funeral of Jovan Belcher, their player who killed his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, and then himself.
Not only are they covering the funeral expenses, they're also offering financial assistance to Kasandra's family.
According to inside sources, the Chiefs just want to make sure that neither family is financially burdened by the funeral or memorial service costs.
"We are assisting both families with arrangements… We just prefer not to get into specifics of what we are doing or have done."
The members of Belcher's family that are taking care of the couple's now orphaned baby accepted the Chiefs' offer.
It's unknown if the Perkins family accepted as well.
This is just such a sad situation, we're glad to see the NFL trying to do what they can to help.
