Gabby Douglas is way too young and waaaay too talented to not continue her Olympic gymnastics career! Plus, we just love her as a person and she's a joy to watch. Does that make it selfish on our part? Who cares!
We mean, she is the first African-American woman to ever win a gold medal in the Olympics all-around gymnastics competition, and became the first U.S. gymnast ever to receive the individual all-around gold and team gold medals in a single Olympic games.
How do you not try and follow that up?
She’s looking forward to getting back into training soon, and has goals that even reach past doing flips in the air for her country. She wants to act!
Here's what she said:
“I think I’ve been bit by the acting bug. I want to relate to everyone out there and to tell them no matter what nationality you are, no matter what color of your skin, or it doesn’t matter how much money you have, if you just trust and believe yourself 100%, you can get there. It wasn’t easy. It was hard, but I want them to know you can still achieve your dreams.”
Fab fab fab! Keep us updated, Gabby!
