Following her return, the artist took a moment to thank everyone for their "prayers, love, and support" -- and especially the North Bergen Police Department for bringing her home safe.
Sharing a picture alongside the NYPD, Miz Quigley penned:
Brooke Burke is one lucky lady!
It feels like we literally just mentioned that she had thyroid cancer.
She had surgery to remove her thyroid, hoping to remove all the cancer.
We're now surprised and glad to say she is already cancer free!!
"I just got the results back from all of my tests and great news - the thyroid cancer has been removed from my body and all my lymph nodes are clear. So I'm hoping that this is the end of the story. Woohoo!!! And thank GOD! My surgery went really well and recovery is much better than I expected it would be."
That's so ahmayzing! She must have someone watching out for her!
So now that she doesn't have to worry about cancer anymore, what is she going to do??
"In a weird way, it's kind of the perfect ending to a very busy year. I've taken the rest of the year off to recover and catch up with my family and now we're just celebrating life. I never thought a mandatory vacation would be under these circumstances but it's nice to quiet the noise and enjoy the R&R and stay home for a change.
Every day I'm feeling better and I'm looking forward to getting back to my usual routine, but with a bit of a different outlook. I've never been one to take life for granted and it sounds so cliché to say it, but this whole thyroid experience has given my family such a scare that it seems to have brought us all closer. And it's allowing us to ring in the New Year with a newfound respect for life."
That's such a great way to look at it.
Turn a negative into a real positive!
We're so glad she's healthy, happy and able to get hammered with her family this New Year's Eve!! LOLz!
