Governor Jerry Brown has cancer.
According to a press release from his office on Wednesday, California's oldest sitting governor was just diagnosed with prostate cancer.
"[The] prognosis is excellent, and there are not expected to be any significant side effects."
We wouldn't usually refer to any cancer as "excellent", but we guess if you're an oncologist, it's all relative.
The governor's office did say the tumor was localized, meaning if they can cure it now, they can keep it from spreading to other parts of the body!
We certainly hope so! Get well soon, Mister Governor!
