Hockey season seems like it's NEVER gonna skate onto our TV sets!!
After the NHL and the Player's Association met again and didn't come to an agreement, more games have been canceled through January 14.
This now marks a total of 625 percent, or 50.8 percent of the season completely WIPED OUT. That's harsh!
The NHL owners and athletes are currently at a pause with their debate over the season, and are now deciding if the players should even be represented by the association anymore. And if that does go down, jocks will be able to go after antitrust litigation to have the expulsion asserted as ILLEGAL.
So far, the NHL filed a class-action suit in federal court and an unfair labor practices charge against the National Labor Relations Board.
But even that didn't stop deputy commissioner Bill Daly from saying that "setting an absolute date [doesn't] necessarily serve any purpose at this point," and adding:
"If you do the math and do what a responsible compression might look like … you know what the neighborhood is of when we need to be playing hockey in order to be playing hockey this (season)."
Dang, no date is necessary?!? Of course it's necessary, but that doesn't mean that it's gonna happen, especially after Bill's comment.
Guess there's no reason to get our hopes up anymore because this dramz does NOT seem like it's gonna be put to rest any time soon!
This is so depressing.
