We couldn't make this stuff up!
Well, we could, but the truth is always so much stranger than fiction.
A man in the UK was sent to the hospital after eating too many Brussels sprouts!
The veggies have vitamin K, which helps promote blood clotting.
The doctors couldn't figure out why his blood wasn't thinning and his medication was failing until he told them he had eaten a lot Brussels sprouts.
A cardiologist said:
"Patients who are taking anticoagulants are generally advised not to eat too many green leafy vegetables, as they are full of vitamin K, which antagonize the action of this vital medication."
Wow! We had no idea!
Luckily, the docs were able to get the man stable.
Then they probably did what no doctor has ever had to do before…
They told their patient to not eat so many vegetables!! LOLz!
