When it comes to TV ratings, the NBA will always be beaten out by football and many other popular shows.
But on Christmas Day, basketball dominated many family's TVs.
The NBA had a five-game Christmas Day schedule across ABC and ESPN and they cleaned up in the ratings!
The biggest numbers came from the New York Knicks vs the Los Angeles Lakers, of course!
They drew some of the highest ratings since 2004!
The ratings were even up 17% from 2010.
What does that mean for you??
NBA gets better ratings, meaning better advertising revune, which means more money in general, which in turn stimulates the economy somehow which leads to you and your family having a better Christmas next year! Or in other words… nothing really! LOLz!
We guess there must just be something special about X-mas and b-ball!
Nothing like eating an entire Christmas ham then having a nice food coma on the couch, and watching some basketball!
