And like everything else in his life lately, it's for all the wrong reasons.

We've never heard this before!
A new study suggests that being overweight may add a few more years to a person's life span.
Which is news to us!
"Maybe heavier people present to the doctor earlier, or get screened more often. Heavier people may be more likely to be treated according to guidelines, or fat itself may be cardioprotective, or someone who is heavier might be more resilient and better able to stand a shock to their system. Our goal is really to summarize existing information and not conclude what people should do, other than follow good health practices, no matter what their weight."
Other medical researchers disagree BIG time!
"This is an even greater pile of rubbish."
"It may well be being overweight does increase the risk of such conditions as Type 2 diabetes, or medication use for cardiac risk factors, without increasing mortality."
Which basically means that an overweight may live longer, but they are also most likely living sicker.
This is just research, so we think the safer bet is to stay healthy and stick to a normal weight.
Whatever "normal" is.
