You better watch out, you better not cry, and we're telling you why!
The Norovirus is on the loose, and it is affecting a TON of people.
After ruining a luxury cruise for hundreds and hundreds of travelers, it is reported that more than 1.1 million people in Britain have been diagnosed with the Norovirus vomiting disease, and health officials believe those numbers will continue to climb!
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said cases of the highly contagious disease have risen earlier than expected and have been seen across Europe, Japan and other parts of the Earth!
But how is this infectious disease transmitted?
The Norovirus is transmitted by contact with infected people or contaminated surfaces, food or water. Norovirus symptoms include a sudden onset of vomiting and diarrhoea. Some victims also suffer fevers, headaches and stomach cramps.
Here's what one expert said:
"As we have seen in previous years, there has been a dip in the number of confirmed laboratory reports owing to the Christmas and New Year period. If you think you may have the illness then it is important to maintain good hand hygiene to help prevent it spreading. We also advise that people stay away from hospitals, schools and care homes as these environments are particularly prone to outbreaks."
Wash your hands, or you may get sick and subsequently your friends and loved ones!
And no one would appreciate that!
