Cristiano Ronaldo is taking on both sides of the fitness war with children.
He was just recently named Save the Children's Global Artist Ambassador!
With the organization, Ronaldo plans to help feed kids who don't eat enough, and to emphasize leading a life of fitness, especially for those suffering from childhood obesity.
"When I learned that 1 in 7 kids around the world go to bed hungry each night, I jumped at the chance to get involved. It is an honor to join Save the Children. I want to work with them to make sure that fewer parents will have to struggle with putting the right kinds of food on the table. I also want to encourage kids to get out there, get active and get fit."
He seems like the perfect guy for the job!
When it comes to being physically fit, few can beat Ronaldo!
The CEO of Save the Children was very happy to have Ronaldo on board, saying:
"We are delighted to have such an incredible athlete working with us. Many children around the globe look up to Cristiano as a role model for healthy living and keeping fit. Every day a child goes without eating healthy foods, it puts the brakes on his growth and development. We want to reach these children before the signs of hunger show up and they get in the habit of making unhealthy choices."
Save the Children reached over 85 million kids in almost 120 different countries last year!
Let's hope with Ronaldo's help they can reach even more kids and save all the world's children!
