If you have a Subaru vehicle, you better listen up! The company is recalling almost 634,000 cars and SUVs!!
Apprently this effects all Outback and Legacy cars from model years 2010 and 2011. Also included are Tribeca SUVs from 2006 through 2012 and Forester SUVs from 2009 through 2012. The Tribecas and Foresters were sold before January of 2012.
Why is this happening? The lights beneath the doors can overheat and cause fires. All of this is caused by the fact that moisture can get into puddle lights beneath the doors and cause a short circuit that can melt plastic.
Luckily, you won't have to be without your car for a long time, and without cost to you — Subaru will install an additional "fused-harness" for free. It will start in Feb.
Hopefully everyone takes part in this. Safety is important!
