A dynamic warmup is the best way to prepare for exercise and avoid injury. Try doing bodyweight squats, arm circles, neck rotations, and core twists before you workout. Low intensity functional movements will warm up your muscles, increase neural drive, lubricate your joints, and increase muscle extensibility allowing you to work harder.
