Ch-ch-check out all the best moment from last night's DWTS (below)!
And dying young. Can't forget that.
What has happened to the U.S.??
According to a study from the National Academy of Sciences, Americans are waaaaaay unhealthier than Canada, Australia, Japan, Britain, France, Portugal, Italy and Germany. Plus eight other countries.
That's gotta be by like, what, 15 people or something? Not a big gap?
Nope — we're sitting comfortably at #1 in infant mortality, injury and homicide rates, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS, drug abuse, obesity and diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, and disabilities. USA!
We spent, on average, $8,600 a year per person on healthcare. Now, take that info and realize that that's more than twice as much Britain, France and Sweden, which have universal healthcare! Explain that, conservatives!
Oh, and don't forget this:
"Americans are seven times more likely to be murdered than people in the other countries, and 20 times more likely to be killed by a gun."
And our gun laws are the best in the world, right?
Sorry about being doom and gloom. There are thing's we're doing pretty well with: the highest cancer survival rates and the lowest cholesterol and blood pressure levels.
In other words, we're great if you're old, but awful if you're young. Whomp whomp!
