Pear-Shaped Body No Healthier Than Apple-Shaped

A new study has found that people with pear-shaped bodies have just as much to worry about as those who are apple-shaped.

Or any other fruit shape for that matter.

Especially those shaped like the African horned cucumber. They should probably go see a doctor immediately. Google it and you'll know why. LOLz!

The study found that pear-shaped folks, those who carry weight in their thighs and booty, are just as much at risk for serious health problems as apple-shaped people, those who carry weight around the middle more.

They found that people who carried weight in their bootius maximus had a greater chance of developing metabolic syndrome.

Metabolic syndrome is a group of several risk factors that when combined, double the risk of heart disease and quintuple the risk of getting diabetes!

Even early metabolic syndrome still comes with obesity and sleep apnea and other problems.

Lead author of the study said:

"I don't think all overweight people are at risk for diabetes, sleep apnea and other conditions. There are high-risk people. If you have metabolic syndrome, you are high risk."

Still, it couldn't hurt to start exercising more regularly and eating healthier.

We keep saying it but let's actually do it… let's make 2013 the year we change everything!!
