Eden Hazard, a professional soccer player for Chelsea, was playing in a game versus Swansea City in a League Cup semi-final match.
He was red carded and removed from the game after he kicked a ball boy!
The ball boy was apparently holding onto the ball in a bid to run down the clock for Swansea.
Hazard just wanted to get the game going again, so he kicked at the ball to try and dislodge it… but he missed and kicked the 17-year-old boy!
The ball boy, Charlie Morgan, knew he was in the wrong, as did Hazard.
Chelsea's manager said:
"They both recognize there was a mistake. The boy was apologizing for time wasting. Hazard was frustrated and tried to get the ball. He was kicking the ball and getting the ball."
So in the end, Charlie isn't pressing charges and Hazard apologized.
The manager continued:
"He's been into the Chelsea dressing room and shook hands with Hazard. John Terry and Frank Lampard were exemplary in welcoming him into the Chelsea dressing room."
We're glad everything worked out in the end! Way to be good sportsmen!
