Ever just find yourself in a funk that you were unable to shake??
Maybe right now you're sitting at your desk, reading this, barely paying attention, still stewing over something that happened just earlier or yesterday or whenever.
Try writing down your negative thoughts on a piece of paper then literally crumpling it up and throwing it into the garbage.
Or tearing it up or burning it (unless you're at work or covered in gasoline).
Whatever you can do to get those thoughts out of your head, into the real world and onto something you can destroy.
It's more than just a symbolic gesture, a professor lead a study that involved 83 people writing down their thoughts on body image then keeping them or tossing them out.
The people who kept their written negative thoughts were more likely to agree with them. Those who threw them away didn't feel differently.
So quick! Before your negative thoughts start affecting how you feel, yank them out of your head, slap 'em on a piece of paper and destroy it with extreme prejudice!
You'll feel better you did!
