A lot of people forget this, but Mike Tyson is a convicted rapist.

They love him because he's goofy and seemingly light-hearted in person — they think he's hilarious in The Hangover. Here, we cautiously find him fascinating, but we haven't forgotten his legal woes either.

It's those legal woes (and three years in jail) that make some other people out there want three major supermarkets to pull his energy drink from their shelves, because if you mix his background with the phrase "sex energy," it really IS kinda gross.

Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda have no plans to remove Black Energy, though, which is Poland's bestselling energy drink.

Here's what a spokesperson for Rape Crisis said:

"It is deplorable that supermarkets think it is appropriate to revere the rapist Mike Tyson and put him in a position that implies young people should trust his judgments and buy a drink that he promotes."

The advertisements even have the boxer standing around writhing, sexually charged women.

The three chains are "reviewing" the situation with no plans to do anything about it — because when it comes to money, who cares if your sexually explicit advertisements are fronted by a convicted rapist?

We understand using Mike as an image for energy because of his boxing background (advertising his sports career)… but not as a sexual idol because of his convicted rapist background!
