Homophobic NFL Star Apologizes For 'Derogatory Comments'

| Filed under: Gay Gay GaySad SadFootball

Chris Culliver

Chris Culliver is an NFL football player for the San Francisco 49ers.

He also recently spouted out a bunch of homophobic remarks regarding gay football players in the locker room.

After receiving what we're sure was immediate backlash Chris has now released a statement that said:

"The derogatory comments I made yesterday were a reflection of thoughts in my head, but they are not how I feel. It has taken me seeing them in print to realize that they are hurtful and ugly. Those discriminating feelings are truly not in my heart. Further, I apologize to those who I have hurt and offended, and I pledge to learn and grow from this experience."

Hmm… does he sound sincere??

So, he has homophobic thoughts in his head but not in his heart?

Like he'd love the person but still hate that they're gay?

Culliver's public relations rep said:

"Chris is very apologetic for any harm caused to anyone. His intent was not that at all. He is one who celebrates the differences of others. All of this was just a big mistake. It was interpreted wrong."

We don't know how you can misinterpret him straight up saying that if gay football players were on his team they'd need to get out the locker room.

Either way, we truly hope he is sincere and has had a change of heart.

Everyone' knows that neither hetero nor homosexuals are 'allowed' to say anything against what the media directs us to believe.

Re: Bubble – Heterophobic should be too. People 'do' have a right to have a counter opinion than what we are told to think.

  6. 6

Everyone is entitled to their opinion or is this not America? Home of the free to say whatever the fuck they want whether you like it or not????

fuck him & his homophobic, bad grammar stank face looking self. If my gay ass was on his team, trust; i wouldn't be checkin for him. I hope he knows that he lives and plays on a team for the Gay Mecca of the world.

what kind of stupid double talk is that ? I guess he forgot that 50 years ago he wouldn't have been allowed in the locker room either, nor would he have been able to drink out of the same water fountain as the players back then. dim witted asshole.

Typical. He answers the questions asked of him honestly and the media jumps on him for not blindly agreeing with the gay agenda.

  13. 13

Well we know Perezhilton gossip column is basically for gays and lesbians so some of the comments are what else does one expect. Wheter his english was bad he spoke honestly about his feelings. Wheter gay men or lesbians want to except it or not it not normal or healthy it is disgusting, nasty for the same sex to be fondling each other. Every time someone speaks out against a gay they are homophobic, discriminating or hate badgering. What this guy did not realize is over half of the media, NFL owners, managers, sport broad casters are gay men or lesbians. So he gets crucified for his honest comments. Well everybody do not accept the chosen lifestyles of gay men and lesbians. Something is wrong with them psychologically and to call it a norm that untrue. So in order to prevent the gay population from calling and writing the NFL headquarters they make the guy apologize for the truth.

Re: Mad Dog – Oh Mad Dog… you sound like… just a pillar of our society! Please don't ever leave or ever change! You seem like you have such a wonderful and respectful understanding of gender and human sexuality. I'm curious as to where you received you're doctorate in neuroscience and biological chemistry from. I love you, Mad Dog! But not in a gay way!!!!

Re: crystal – Ohhhh Crystal! You beautiful flower! I understand you've been super busy with all of your obligations in MENSA and side projects for NASA but I think you may have read an incorrect periodical. Something is wrong with them psychologically? Perhaps some rascal at one of you're numerous MIT alumni reunion's slipped one of those fake little made up articles written buy people who arent even doctors and they forgot to tell you it was all a big practical joke. Unless of course I am wrong? In that case, find me ONE legit non-religious public medical study that say's homosexuality is a mental illness. I'm fascinated.

lets just keep it real ok. He definitely used a poor chioce of words and came off all wrong in his answer, but his point was that homosexuality is not something he personally wants to surround himself with or be around and that is his opinion. The interviewer shouldnt have even asked him that question that was asking to stir things up. Everybody doesn't agree with the LGBT community or the people that support them end of story. That will most likely ALWAYS be the case. just like there will ALWAYS be racism (I know because I have witnessed it on more than a few occasions RECENTLY) and NO race will be loved or accepted everywhere NATIONWIDE, homosexuality is not something that will be loved or accepeted everywhere NATIONWIDE. there are too many different people with different views opinions and different upbringings in this country for people to go get sensitive everytime somebody doesn't like them or agree with their lifestyle. its a cold world. grow up and get a thicker skin.

    22

I'm all for the fight for eqaulity but seriously you can't get sensitive or overly offended everytime someone doesn't agree with you that isn't going to get you anywhere. you are wasting your anger and energy on the wrong people. he is a football player with an opinion not someone who can actually take away your rights to be who you are or love who you want. take that shit up with someone who has the power to make a difference.

Re: flergasfsdfasdf – That's not a blanket term, brosef. Should we encourage kids to call each other "fat" because it's "what they feel", or maybe if they don't like Mexicans, they should just say it! No. you can't just act on every impulse, you'd have friggin' anarchy.

  24. Poop says – reply to this

    24

So anytime someone says something you don't agree with, it's homophobic? What a crock

  25. 25

Re: Poop – When someone says something derogatory against a group of class of people then yes. If he was making fun or denouncing African Americans would you not call him racist? U fucking moron…

This Ignorant undeserving Idiot has totally disconnected with reality and everyone of his race who died fighting to allow him to be placed in the social and financial position he is in.
In no country can he by law be arrested and put to death for the color of his skin. Yet In many, I would be arrested, tortured and painfully put to death simply for loving another man.
He was too comfortable saying what he said and knowing potentially millions of people could hear what he said.
