Lance Armstrong probably just breathed a sigh of relief for the first time in a very long time.
An attorney who was overseeing the federal investigation into Lance said that his public admission that he used performance-enhancing drugs doesn't change anything.
"We made a decision on that case a little over a year ago. Obviously, we've been well aware of the statements that have been made by Mr. Armstrong in other media reports. That does not change my view at this time."
The lawyer said his office had closed its investigation into possible crimes committed by Lance back in February 2012.
Many legal experts had said that when Armstrong admitted his wrong doing to Oprah that he opened himself up to possible legal problems.
Like perjury or obstruction of justice, which could be pretty serious.
Looks like Lance got away scot-free… for now.
