On Monday, four football players from the Alabama Crimson Tide were arrested for charges of second degree robbery, and we're in awe because we don't know why in the world they would commit such a crime!!
The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office accounts Eddie Williams and Brent Calloway for fraudulent use of a credit card and second degree robbery, and Dennis Pettway and Tyler Hayes for second degree robbery.
Hayes, Williams and Pettway were arrested for apparently beating, kicking and cutting two students during their robberies and sending one student to become unconscious.
According to the jail docs, the athletes were arrested at midnight and were later released between the hours of 3 a.m and 5 a.m. Dennis and Tyler were freed after paying their $60,000 bonds, while Eddie was let go on a $65,000 bond and Brent on a $5,000 bond.
Crazy thing is, all the men were backups for the BCS National Championship run in 2012 and are still on the roster.
The UA coach, Nick Saban said:
"The young men charged are indefinitely suspended as we continue to gather information and talk to the appropriate people. The University and football program have strict guidelines regarding issues of this magnitude. This behavior is unacceptable for any student-athlete at the University of Alabama and not representative of our football program."
Dang, even after being violent, they didn't even get dropped from the team!! That doesn't make any type of sense.
Whatevs, karma will definitely come back and bite them when they least expect it!!
