Dang, that's even more than enough reason to stop eating animal products!
Beyonce just revealed that she gained 57 pounds while pregnant with Blue Ivy in an interview with Oprah, and after we thought that the Queen simply snapped back into her vivacious curves without breaking a sweat — that's actually far from the truth.
The Party songstress is giving her personal trainer, Marco Borges, all the credit for how fantastic she looks, and he couldn't be anymore ecstatic about how he helped Bey jump back into her seksi bod, he said:
"Consistency is the key to success. I love running-spring intervals for quick cardio sessions and also…running stairs. [I recommend] one vegan meal a day because this typically gets people to eat more greens than they normally would."
And on top of that, Miz Knowles continues to eat green apples, edamame, or cucumbers with a hit of cayenne pepper, lemon and vinegar if she's ever craving a snack.
Plus, if Beyonce feels the need to drop some pounds fasssst, she simply has a liquid lunch, instead of eating a whole meal.
The star's diet might seem easy, but it definitely takes determination. So if you're trying to get rid of some pesky weight, a vegan diet might just be the way to go!!
If Beyonce did it, you can do it too!!!!

Well she's never been know to lose weight a healthy way.
She supposedly lost 20lbs in less than 2 weeks for dream girls
doing the maple syrup/lemon juice diet, ew!
But whatever floats your boat I guess.
Please don't encourage people to eat diets that are nutritionally unsound (vegans eventually suffer from anxiety, fertility issues, and a host of IBS related symptoms due to a lack of complex B vitamins, low fat, and high allergenic aspects(soy, corn, wheat, veg oils). Not only is Bey's suggestion nutritionally damaging, it encourages starvation/eating disorders as a method for weight loss. Perez, this is EXTREMELY irresponsible of you!
or by using a surrogate…
oh yeah encourage all those girls out there to starve themselves! Vegan or not one meal a day is incredibly unhealthy and its sad she would say something like that publicly! She could have just lied and said "oh eating right and working out" it is disgusting how obsessed everyone is with weight, especially after baby it is so unrealistic. Most of us dont have nannies and personal trainers, and chefs etc. Could you imagine what they would all look like if they had to actually take care of their baby THEMSELVES?
Not only is that really poor advice, but I have a hard time believing it is true at all.
One meal a day? Are you frickin' kidding me? While I don't doubt that there are ways for vegans to get protein and vitamins, I don't think it can all be done in one meal a day. This only sets up a false perception that young women should starve themselves to be thin or that women should lose pregnancy weight in a matter of weeks. The point is not about being thin; it's about being healthy. I doubt that somebody following B's diet would really be that healthy, especially if continued for a long time.
What 60 pounds?
She never was pregnant.
Wow, can you guys read context?! It's not that she ate only one meal a day that happened to be vegan, but rather that she are regularly (3 meals plus snacks) and that ONE of those meals was vegan. That's the way I understand it. Also, what's this nonsense about veganism leading to IBS, infertility, and anxiety? Puhlease. That's just ignorance. When some right, the health benefits are myriad.
Beyonce isn't suggesting anything. Her trainer is talking and Perez is giving his usual "spin". There is no one direct quote from Beyonce in this piece. What she said is that she lost the weight through diet and excercise.
Perez needs to pay the rent/mortgage on his new place in NYC and I assume that is why he is colluding with Beyonce on this hoax. What I don't understand is how Oprah could risk losing all credibility with this nonsense.
She also has the money to pay for a personal trainer, which obviously helps a lot. "If Beyonce can do it, so can you!" If I had the kind of money Beyonce has, it would be a lot easier.
Strange, she didn't even look like she had twenty to spare.
she wasn't even pregant of course she lost the weight
i don't think she meant eat ONE SINGLE MEAL at day. I think she meant make ONE OF YOUR MEALS VEGAN. This is supported by the following words, "because this typically gets people to eat more greens than they normally would.". I doubt she saying to cut your calories that much.
That's great she lost weight, but she obviously isn't breastfeeding her baby. You can't breastfeed a baby and lose weight like that. I think it's too bad she didn't make her baby more of priority.
While Beyonce isn't exactly a model of health and humane choices–she wears fur, after all–people can lose weight by eating wholesome vegan foods. I've been vegan for 20 years and I feel great. I wouldn't recommend a grapefruit diet or anything like that though. You can be a very healthy vegan, or a vegan who eats potato chips and Oreos all day–the choice is yours and it doesn't always reflect on the diet. Vegan foods are cholesterol-free and tend to be low in saturated fat and calories though, so they're a great choice for savvy dieters.
beyonce is a beautiful woman inside and out. I loved her documentary, she is insightful and not just a pretty face. I've been reading about Beyonce online this week, and why do they have to put kim k photos and articles all around the Beyonce news! Kim will never have a talent, she doesn't deserve to be on the same page as Queen Bey!
I completely disagree with Caritta. I have been a 100% vegan for 1.5 years and lost 100 lbs, dropped three prescriptions, and never felt better in all my life. In fact, due to thyroid issues, I see my doctor every three months and they do a complete blood panel and protien is one thing they check. LOL - my numbers are always normal. The key to being a healthy vegan is to make sure one consumes lots of variety of leafy greens and fruits. Caritta, you have sorely been misinformed by someone, probably someone who is a meat eater.
