Chris Hardwick owns Nerdist Industries, which is a small entertainment company that currently hosts a YouTube channel that features All-Star Celebrity Bowling — but after AMC caught wind of how cool Hardwick's YouTube show is, they decided to make it into a real live television broadcast!!!
As of now, AMC runs Talking Dead on their channel, which is a talk show that is very similar to Walking Dead… and with this new deal, Talking Dead will play on the Nerdist channel, while All-Star Celebrity Bowling is set to start as a special, and if it gets enough attention, it will be on regularly.
AMC’s EVP original programming and production and digital content man, Joel Stillerman said:
“This is a great way for us to expand our relationship with Chris and Nerdist, and we love the multi-platform synergy on a project like this."
The collaboration is not only kooky and fun, but casts from the Walking Dead and Breaking Bad will be starring in episodes.
With that said, Hardwick revealed:
“It has always been one of our main goals with Nerdist to grow content in the digital garden of the Internet which we could then evolve onto other platforms.”
Awww! This show definitely sounds like a winner!
We can't think of anything that's better than watching our favorite celebrities battling it out at a bowling alley.
