Now that Oscar Pistorius is being charged with premeditated murder, his late girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp is put down to rest, while fellow paralympian announces that Blade Runner was always wacky.
The model was cremated at a service in her hometown of Port Elizabeth, South Africa today, and her brother, Adam Steenkamp expressed his sadness:
"There's a space missing inside all the people that she knew. Everyone is sad, understandably, but at certain points we were smiling whilst remembering Reeva, because we only have good memories of her."
And while Reeva's family is mourning, paralympian Todd Schaffhauser is noting that he is "not surprised" that Oscar murdered Steenkamp, adding:
"[I] warned many of the prosthetic sponsors about Oscar after reading some of the first incidents of his reckless behavior. Oscar truly showed the only disabled person he was looking out for was Oscar. I never saw him a true ambassador of the sport. True ambassadors don't behave as he has in the past. I am glad he is hopefully out of the sport forever and some of the true upcoming ambassadors get the attention they deserve.”
And just like Todd wants him out of the sport forever, Reeva's friend, Gavin Venter hopes that Pistorius is not granted bail.
"He's a danger to the public. He'll be a danger to witnesses. He must stay in jail. He's already shown how dangerous he can be for what he did to Reeva."
Things don't seem like they're gonna look up for Pistorius anytime soon, and we're not taken aback by what his future is getting ready to hold.
After all, as of now, evidence is proving that he intentionally killed Reeva.
Oscar has definitely had better days.
