James Franco Trips Up On His Words At The Daytona 500!!!

| Filed under: Oops!Wacky, Tacky & TrueJames FrancoNASCARDanica Patrick

This is just tacky!

Danica Patrick made history by being the first female driver to land the coveted starting position at NASCAR's Daytona 500, and while there's always someone special who tells the racers to start their engines — James Franco tripped up on his words during the broadcast!!

It's customary for the commentator to say: “Gentlemen, start your engines,” but considering that there was a woman involved, the Oz the Great and Powerful actor said, “Drivers and Danica, start your engines.”

It's not like this is the first time Danica has raced, so just like any other time, he could've simply said “Lady and gentlemen, start your engines,” but he chose to be a dummy. LOLz

Ch-ch-check out James fumble his words (above)!

Oh that still makes me giggle. Can't stand Danica and there's a lot of female drivers who would probably be kicking her ass if they were given the chances that she's been. They just don't use sex to sell themselves.

Also "coveted starting position" makes no sense…all drivers have a starting position…she got the pole.

@pdrocksmysocks why are you commenting on this when you have no idea what you're saying? "all drivers have a starting position…makes no sense…she got the pole."…really? well to enlighten you, since you care enough to comment on it but not enough to educate yourself on the issue, The fastest car on the first day of time trials wins the pole position. hence, the reason it's called the "pole position". moving on, i think James Franco's wording was funny, not offensive!
