These poor Royals just CAN'T seem to avoid stomach problems, can they?
Months after a pregnant Kate Middleton was hospitalized for severe morning sickness, her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, has been forced to cancel a trip to Rome because she's been admitted to King Edward VII Hospital to treat what's possibly gastroenteritis - AKA a stomach bug!
"She went to the hospital today at around 3 p.m. GMT. She is in good spirits, besides the symptoms of gastroenteritis. Doctors are saying she should be in hospital for a couple days. For now, she has canceled and postponed her engagements for this week. She was not taken into the hospital immediately after feeling the symptoms. This is simply to enable doctors to better assess her."
Hey! We don't blame them!
No point in taking any chances! She's 86-years-old, after all!
Here's hoping that doctors can quickly treat whatever the trouble is so she can get back on her feet and back to her Royal duties!
Get well soon! You're in our thoughts!
