Gwyneth Paltrow's Kids Are Going Hungry On Her Intense Diet!

While we're all for healthy children, we're not so sure if leaving them hungry is the best thing! What kind of childhood is that??

Gwyneth Paltrow’s diet is SO STRICT that she admits sometimes her family is left hungry by her restrictions! BOOO!

In her new cookbook called It's All Good, all is most definitely not good, and she details the food she doesn't let her kids have, like grains:

“Every single nutritionist, doctor and health-conscious person I have ever come across . . . seems to concur that [gluten] is tough on the system and many of us are at best intolerant of it and at worst allergic to it.”

We're not so sure about that. We've written countless times on how a gluten-free diet is only really good for those who have celiac's disease, otherwise you could be doing more harm than good!

Then, she admits, the diet is not satisfying to her family:

“Sometimes when my family is not eating pasta, bread or processed grains like white rice, we’re left with that specific hunger that comes with avoiding carbs.”

That's such a bummer. We have to be honest here. We've always been under the impression that moderation is key, so we're okay with limiting the amount of processed and carb intake, but we also realize that kids need to be kids — which most definitely includes the happiness of treats from time to time, and to not have to go through childhood hungry!

Being extreme with your kids is not how you get well-rounded and happy children!

    Moderation is key. That's why Richard Simmons is still going strong w/ his regime while all the other fad promoters are gone. Gwyneth Paltrow used to look OK but now she looks sickly all the time.

    Gluten free is good for more then just celiac's, there are also gluten intollerent people like myself and my daughter. Gluten is the devil in our house as it has been genetically modified and altered so much in the last 50 years that grains that have gluten in them now have 50 time more gluten then they did before and our bodies have not evolved to tolerate them. 1 in 113 people are intollerent or have celiac disease and 90% don't even know it and it's damaging their bodies in many ways. Do some research before you diss gluten free…..

    You are wrong in saying that gluten free diets only benefit celiacs. Our bodies where not meant to break down and process grains. I do agree in moderation of these things, but I am not a celiac and have eaten gluten free for over 7 years. Please get your facts straight and don't act like a doctor. Your misinformation could be harmful to someone.

    Perez, please read perfecthealthdiet.com before making any crazy remarks about nutrition. Even though you have lost weight, I'd still check it out.

    There are plenty alternatives now. You have gluten free pasta, pizza etc. There is no reason for people to be hungry. It just takes a little more work to be gluten free. But honestly it is worth it 100%

    I seriously doubt that Gwyneth would allow her children to starve. She is putting them on a healthy diet. I'm sure her pediatrician would let her know if they were under weight.

    I don't think she's starving her kids. I think they just miss the heavier, unheathy stuff sometimes as we all do when making a change in out diets. She means they crave it. Her children are healthy.

    she talks about the "hunger" from the lack of carbs not that she's not feeding her kids! way to go crazy and take it out of context! Research the Paleo lifestyle, it'll rock your world

    So your kids are still growing and you want to deprive them of nutrition needed in order for them to be healthy? You said it yourself that your kids are hungry. I know you don't want fat children but at the same time that's wrong. Allow your children to make their food choices rather than you make them for yourself. I'm not saying let them eat pizza all day but your infringing your diet upon them and well you're oddly ill looking. Another thing does eating gluten cause your children to be sick? If not let them eat the damn bread it's good for your brain function.

    She's got to have an eating disorder. She's constantly talking about her control issues with food — a major red flag for an unhealthy relationship with food, disguised as "nutrition." And imho, gluten-free (aside from those with celiac) is a fad, just like killing off sugar, carbs, fat or oil used to be.

    this is stupid as a kid i ate whatever i wanted as long as ur running around u shouldnt need to avoid carbs and be hungry i think she sounds crazed

    They are hungry because carbohydrates are the body's first go to source for energy. There is nothing wrong with sweet potatoes and whole wheat pasta. She is being strongly mis informed. Poor kids. What if they are experiencing a growth spurt and need more food? Extremely rich mommy says no?
