There's a private golf course in Haiti that has been occupied by earthquake victims for the past three years. Understandably, the owners want that back.
So how do you move the people that are living there, which at one point reached as many as 60,000??
You give $8.75 million to Sean Penn, that's how! Ha!
The government is giving that money to Penn’s J/P Haitian Relief Organization, which will use it to subsidize rents and build new housing in the nearby Delmas 32 neighborhood, which will happen early next year.
Sean Penn has been spending less and less time in Haiti though, but his spokeswoman denied that his humanitarian efforts there were coming to an end. At one point he was taking every opportunity to be there and talk about the strife that so many have forgotten!
We wonder if the club is taking tee times yet?
