A lot of buzz over Gwyneth Paltrow's gluten-free low-carb diet has been surfacing, and although the actress isn't getting the love she thought she would receive — she can care less because she feels that her food regimen has made her closer to her hubby, Chris Martin.
Miz Paltrow is covering SELF magazine's April issue, and in her interview she talks about her relationship, her mental state, and how she unwinds.
Here are the HIGHlights:
On her relationship with the Coldplay frontman:
"You feel lighter and your emotions get smoother. [I] had a lot of unexpressed anger. I made everyone else's feelings more important than my own. I'd suck it up and then be alone in my car yelling at traffic or fighting with hangers in my closet when they got stuck together. You're not learning anything unless you're having the difficult conversations. Dealing with things directly changed my relationships. Sometimes when you get clear about who you are, others get less comfortable because they liked who you were. It's changed my marriage, too, but he's up for the challenge."
On her mental state:
"I had to sing at awards shows, which was fun but stressful. I'd have a Guinness and a beta-blocker every time. I also was constantly getting on airplanes, trying to knock myself out with sleeping pills and wine, waking up, trying to sweat it out with exercise and a steam, and then working really hard all day. Eventually, I had a panic attack. My body was like, 'What is happening?' My doctor, Alejandro Junger, recommended that I cut out basically everything: dairy, sugar, gluten, anything processed. I was like, 'What the f-ck am I going to eat now?' That's why I made the book: to stop eating brown rice out of the fridge because I didn't know what else to eat — it was demoralizing."
On how she unwinds:
"I probably eat this way two or three times a year for three weeks at a time. Past that, I'm not willing to make the sacrifice. Life is about balance. It's good to work in healthy food, whether it's five days a week or five meals a week. And if you're going to do it, it should be awesome food you're psyched to make. But never cut out the brownies or the wine. I watch Homeland or New Girl. I also like to have martinis with my girlfriends. I feel a sisterhood emerging around me. I'm less threatening now that I'm 40 and not 26-with-an-Oscar. There's a sense of love and support. I feel really lucky."
Gwyneth certainly looks gooood, so when everything is all said and done, as long as she's healthy and she's not starving herself, then whatever she does to keep glamming it up is cool with us.
Plus, since her love life is marvelous, she should keep up with her diet!!

Monday night's episode of Dancing With The Stars might have been the most exciting yet because it not only gave us two eliminations this week to make up for last week, but there was a wardrobe malfunction!
You may have missed it because DWTS producers apparently used their eagle-eye vision, but NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown's partner Sharna Burgess briefly had her nipple slip out of her dress while she was dancing. YIKES!
During the broadcast airing of the episode (below), you'll notice that shortly after the 4:22 mark, the screen cuts to the show's logo as someone noticed Sharna's little whoopsie moment.
After the performance, Tom Bergeron took a moment to pull the dancer aside without the camera looking, and made sure her dress was fixed!
On top of that excitement, there were also the first perfect SCORES of the season thanks to Ginger Zee and Valentin Chmerkovskiy as well as Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas, while both Kim Fields and Von Miller -- as well as their partners -- were sent home.
