You're A Dip, We're A Dip, Let's All Eat Some Warm Crab Dip!

There is something about a hot and bubbly crab dip that makes people go crazy every time! I recently asked Facebook fans to submit a favorite dish they would like to see as a 4 ingredient recipe! Bruce from West Hollywood, California suggested a Hot Crab dip, and I was excited for the challenge. I love purchasing fresh canned crab at the seafood counter; you get all the taste without the hassle. If you can't find crab, substitute raw chopped shrimp or canned albacore tuna. Thanks Bruce for the idea … give it a try and let us know what you think!

8 ounces (1 package) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
8 ounces crab meat
1/2 teaspoon seasoning (like horseradish, old bay, chili or paprika)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Combine all ingredients together. Put in oven safe dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Serve with your favorite crackers, bread or vegetables for dipping, and enjoy!

Re: em – For those of us that are living the low carb lifestle to get fit, this recipe is perfect. I lost 100 lbs. eating this way. There are many ways to get fit so this recipe may not be a good fit for everyone. It will work for me, however. And better to use whole cream cheese rather than that which as fillers and binders.

thanks for your comment em! This is a lot healthier version than traditional clam dip that often has 10+ ingredients including mayo and other bad stuff. You could substitute low-fat or non-dairy cream cheese … or even softened goat cheese! Also - this is a dip, and would serve 6-8 people (however, its so delicious you might eat the entire thing in a sitting) Let me know if there are any recipes you would like to see turned into a 4 ingredient one! xoxo

Re: em – This IS a healthy recipe that is perfect for FitPerez! The recipes on this site embrace living a fun, FABULOUS lifestyle just like celebrities do, but with some slight tweaks that cut down on the calories and artificial additives that you would have if you just bought the food or used a recipe from another site.

FitPerez is for people who are going to live life to the fullest, who are not looking for the same flavorless diet foods every day. After all, we ALL know that raw leafy greens or fruit is good for you, but what if we want some party food? This is where Chef Mariko's brilliance comes in — she knows how to make party food that's indulgent AND not a diet-buster. It's how famous people eat! This crab dip definitely fits that description, as the calorie content is lower than other seafood dips.

The fact that it's only four ingredients just means that you can eat like an actor without having all the resources that an actor would have! Super-bonus!
