Last night, Nelson Mandela was admitted into the hospital after experiencing problems with his ongoing lung infection, and after being worried about his health, reports are stating that he's doing well!
While Mandela is currently in a Pretoria, South African hospital, the presidency wanted everyone to know that Nelson is fighting for his health, he said:
“The doctors advise that former President Nelson Mandela is responding positively to the treatment he is undergoing for a recurring lung infection. He remains under treatment and observation in hospital.”
And considering that a lot of people thought that this treatment was planned, spokesman Mac Maharaj wants everyone to know that his hospitalization "wasn't scheduled," he shared:
"As you will appreciate the doctors do work with a great sense of caution when they are treating Madiba and take into account his age. And so when they found that this lung infection had reoccurred, they decided to have him immediately hospitalized so that he can receive the best treatment.”
Further deets on the 94-year-old's condition have not been revealed, but just hearing that he's responding well to treatment is good enough for us.
Our prayers are with Mandela and his family and friends.
