JaMarcus Russell played three seasons with the Oakland Raiders and was released in May 2010 because of his lack of dedication, but now that he DROPPED 27 pounds, he's asking for a second chance!
The free agent admitted that he was overweight at 315 pounds when workouts began in February, and now that he's down to 288 pounds, he wants to lose 18 more pounds, which will get him to his goal weight of 270.
"Through the first couple weeks I could barely make it through the workout. We go in to do the warm-up and here I am breathing like a fat man. Now I'm breathing pretty good and able to stand up on my own two feet."
JaMarcus is hoping that a team will invite him to a training camp, and is targeting Larry Fitzgerald because he has helped a lot of bad quarterbacks.
But considering that Russell had a horrible time with the Raiders, it's gonna take a lot more than just losing weight to land him a spot on an NFL team.
Good luck JaMarcus!
