Leave your cars at home!! It's time to head to work a few hours earlier than you thought, because you'll be WALKING!

Okay, maybe it's not THAT extreme, but it IS National Walking Day! LOLz!

Jenny Craig is supporting the AHA (American Heart Association) this year for National Walking Day, because adults seem to be working at computers all day instead of staying healthy! The risk of heart disease doubles when you're physically inactive, so Jenny Craig is teaming up with the AHA to help encourage Americans to get walking! The benefits of walking and moderate physical activity for at least 30 minutes a day can help you reduce the risk of heart disease — so that's what we're all going to do!

Here's how to make it an awesome habit:

Morning Walk: If your child’s school is in walking distance, why not wake up a little earlier to walk them to school instead of driving? Both of you will get a nice, early morning walk in and you will even get to spend a little extra quality time with your little one, a win-win!

Walk Break: Take a 10 minute "walk break" instead of a "coffee break" at work. Rather than running out to grab a quick cup of coffee to get that extra boost, why not take a stroll around the block to get your blood pumping?

Quick Fix: Exercise for 10 minutes. Whether it's walking, working out to an exercise video or lifting light weights, three 10-minute bouts add up to the 30 minutes of exercise that experts recommend you do on most days of the week.

Laps in the Lot: Park at the end of the parking lot when shopping for groceries. This way you will allow yourself to take more steps without even feeling like you’re exercising.

Tidy up: Take 10 minutes to vacuum (you'll burn 38 calories), garden (50 calories) or push the lawn mower around (70 calories). Not only will you be burning calories, you’ll have cleaned up the house too!
