Hmmm… this is inneresting!
Terry Crews played in the NFL for seven seasons, and while no one who plays professional football has ever come out as an openly gay man, the Everybody Hates Chris actor thinks that if someone did decide to speak up about who they truly are, it would be really hard on them.
"It's the height of what you call ultra bad-ass manhood, so it makes it hard… it's one of those things… I think it's more than any other sport because of the violent nature of it… it's almost like the military though… it's the same thing. It's just as hard for someone to do that in the military, so I would put it right on par with that."
Terry then added that even though there has been a lot of talk that this is the year that someone in the NFL is going to come out, he notes that it probably will "happen soon," but admitted that "it's one of those things" because he never thought that we would have "a black president."
Guess we're gonna have to wait to see what happens, but we can only hope that anyone who's dealing with hiding who they really are comes out because we love the diversity!
