Aretha Franklin's Health Secrets At 71 Years Old!

Aretha Franklin's voice is still as powerful as ever, and she'll never give up recording!

To make sure she doesn't have to, Aretha needs to stay healthy — something that she takes very seriously after a few scares (she had to miss Whitney Houston's funeral because of leg spasms!). While at first glance you could think that Aretha might not be in the best shape, looks can be deceiving! It doesn't mean she isn't healthy!

All things considered, at 71 she's active and going strong! That's an INCREDIBLE place to be!

So how does she keep so active and upbeat? Here's what she said:

"I do a lot of walking. [I] walk and [maintain a good] diet and [drink] … a lot of water."

Moderation, no fad diets, and keeping active! That's the way to do it!

And guess what? It's working, because she's recording her 38th studio album! Holy cow! That's amazeballs!
