Rachael Ray Is Getting SUED For Humiliating Overweight Teen!

| Filed under: TV NewsLegal MattersRachael RayFitness

When Christina Pagliarolo agreed to be on a Rachael Ray Show segment about overweight teens, she expected some physical activity and interviews, but she claims she didn't expect to be brutalized by a physical trainer!

Christina weighed in at 260 lbs at the time, and the lawsuit says the trainer made her run 'like Forrest Gump,' screamed at her, and made her hike in the mountains! Not only that, but she claims she was put on a StairMaster and they kept boosting the speed until she flew off the machine!

Then they YELLED at her for falling!

Apparently she had serious injuries to her legs, and emotional issues. She's suing for negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress! Of course, the show claims they aren't even aware of a lawsuit, but expect to win anyway in case there is one:

"We haven't received this purported lawsuit but if it does materialize we will defend ourselves against it vigorously and fully expect to prevail."

We'll see!

Hope the weight loss journey is still going well regardless, Christina!

No wonder she's overweight, she's full of excuses! So she goes on a show hoping to lose weight but is upset that they pointed out the reasons why she's overweight and that they tried to motivate her into actually being physically active, the horror! I guess every contestant on The Biggest Loser should sue since they're "yelled at" on each episode but you know what the result is? They lose the damn weight. American's sure love to sue for everything they can don't they?

Every personal trainer I've worked with has yelled at me to motivate me. What a shocker that they made you exercise?! Gasp! How traumatic! And made her hike in mountains?! Really, yup I'm sure they use that horrendous method of torture for killers and criminals. Lmao this chicks a joke.

So stupid… I saw a lot of the episodes with her on it… Obviously she is going to be out of her comfort zone, but she signed up to be on national TV to talk about her weight problem

If someone came in my room at 5:30 am and woke me up to work out I'd punch em.
This trainer was an Idiot. You don't push someone like that when they have Never worked out. HORRIBLE trainer. Rachael Ray Blew it, big time.

BUT, I thinking suing is a Joke. She could have just said, this is too much.
They might have humiliated her, but she went along with it…

Being over weight is tough, especially for a teen. Although I was only about 40 pounds overweight, I blamed EVERYONE but myself for that mistake. When I got a personal trainer, I thought he was a total a-hole for making me do such insane stuff. Now I'm at a healthy weight/physically fit, i look back at the times when I was a bit chunky and understand why Christina is upset. It does get better and it does get "easier".
But man, you Americans sure love to sue anyone.

I wish I had someone pushing me and yelling at me when I work out. Like so many people, I tend to slack off and take it easy when I should be working harder. It's too bad she was hurt by the experience, but it sounds like she was not in the right mind set to participate.

the reason shes suing is the reason shes obese - shes lazy and is hardwork-phobic. the work out i saw was NOTHING compared to the bootcamp workouts I did in my early teens for swimteam. honestly. suing people for being embarassed…cmon america. youre better then that.

What a joke. They should have started her on long walks and maybe less heavy impact like biking or water athletics - she's going to burn out too fast running right off the bat. You can also tell she's really trying here, so the people calling her lazy is a little unfair. Anyone can change their body with motivation even if it's gotten bad.

putting more effort into suing them for attempting to help her fat kimye-pregger looking ass lose weight than the effort she ACTUALLY PUT INTO ATTEMPTING TO LOSE THE WEIGHT! yup, she's definitely a big loser. too bad it isn't the loser she was hoping to be with the show. drop the suit and call kimye for her leftover maternity wear you sow.

she should be humiliated that she weighs that much in the first place

    buck up

  13. 13

She didn't become over weight over night, they can't fix it in a day. She should be on a regimen that is steady and slow. And why is the trainer talking to her like she's a child? The entire tape is repulsive to watch.

Did she expect to lose weight by sitting on her fat butt and eating ice cream? Obviously she doesn't know that it takes exercise to lose weight. Now she's mad because they didn't give her one of those lose-weight pills that would make the fat fall off overnight. What a dummy.

260 pound teenager? It sounds like this delicate flower is a spoiled brat and parents had difficult time with her, hence the weight issue. And being told what to do probably did cause some emotional issues but they are trying to save her life. I'm sure she signed a pile of waivers the size of her thighs before even beginning filming. This overweight terd should be thankful someone was trying to help her and now she wants to compensated because she failed??? I hope the video shows exactly what torment she didn't go through.

What did that fat hippo expect? The reason she was 260 pounds is because she stuff her fat face and no body yelled at her to stop. Did she really think it was going to be sunshine and lollipops? I bet she would like that. I agree the trainer should of help her up when she fell but she a dumbass on the rest

  17. 17

she is the very definition of a pig…
    oink, oink, oink

Humiliating is when you allow yourself to get that far at such a young age. I wish I had someone in my face to motivate me, she's lucky that she got it for free! Well IF she wins, she can always use that money to take a short cut and get some lypo or a lap band.

    19

Wow, if she put that much effort into working out and getting fit as she did to write up some documents and sue Rachel Ray she wouldn't be the size she is. You asked for help to get thin. this is what a personal trainer is like. put your big girl panties on and grow up.

  20. 20

Rachael Ray should be sued for being a terrible cook. And her parents should be sued for not being able to spell.

    21

What an idiot!! Why agree to be on a show to lose weight if you are complaining about people that are trying to help you. The trainer was trying to motivate her, not humiliate her. The girl has already done that to herself by her shitty attitude.

  22. Catherine says – reply to this

    22

Wow, really? Unless she wants to STAY obese she should take that criticism that the personal trainer will give her, they aren't there to be your best friends they are there for one thing only…to make you healthy they yell and make you work hard because they care.

  23. 23

sue the junk food sellers too sweety its all their fault

She's brilliant! Another way to sit on her fat ass AND get rich! No sympathy from me. She'll be 50 lbs. heavier by next week. Keep eating honey. If you win your lawsuit, it'll be just in time to bury your fat ass in a piano case. You win!

  25. 25

Re: sushi – I thought the same thing but honestly, they gave her breaks, they kept her heart-rate in a healthy range and now she knows she CAN do it. I'm thin and I look at those bootcamp classes and I think naw f*ck it I'm not fit enough that's too hard. But she did it! She should be proud of herself. It's a shame she didn't take that lesson away and instead reverted into her old habits which will keep her overweight.

    26

They shouldn't have pushed her so hard for it being her first time. They should've started her off with some walking. I don't blame her for being upset, she could've hurt herself. But I don't think suing is the way to go.

  27. Allison says – reply to this

    27

I'm sorry you fat dear, but if you were really humilated, it wouldn't have taken you 2 years to speak up. And….no matter what they tell you - $$$$ is not going to make you skinny. Watch the biggest loser and learn from them. They all got yelled at, because when they try to quit, it is the trainers job to push them. DEAL WITH IT or stay fat. You obviously have no will power to do it on your own, and when it gets tough you quit. No one is really feeling sorry for you Slim. Stop boo-hooing and lose the weight or lose your life. it's your choice and a law suit isn't going to change that.

  28. 28

AND NOW WE KNOW WHY SHE IS FAT….

Re: fid – The trainer has to push her, but not hurt her. A lot of accidents happen when trainers aren't able to tell their athletes physical limits.
